A modular furniture collection, assembled using four identical parts, fitting into any home in several different ways, manufactured with one process.
NINETY represents a commitment to locally sourced, adaptable furniture that offers consumers the option to interchange modular furniture pieces between varying styled collections. Whether it’s creating funky aesthetic shapes, functional forms that integrate into a room, or keeping it minimal and doing nothing at all. For planned longevity, not obsolescence. Adaptability, configuration, and customisation collectively create a stimulated user and ensure the aesthetic outlasts trends and fads.

Countless 2D and 3D iterations.
Hundreds of 3D models were generated and iterated, enhancing the understanding of form and proportion. Concurrently, 2D sketches were roughly produced to refined the thought process, learning, distilling, and improving the concept further.
Sustainable sheet allumnium.
Aluminium is a highly circular
material, meaning it can be recycled almost entirely. Powder coating adds a
protective layer to aluminium, shielding it from the elements while offering a
wide array of vibrant colour options.
No tools needed.
Each table is held together using premium
quality thumb screws. Ensuring that tools are always left where they belong, in
the tool cupboard. Each thumbscrew can be coated to match the table colour, or
a standard nut and bolt can be used to lower the price point and access another
market segment.
Providing value in a modular system.
Each table can be disassembled into its individual parts and combined with additional components to create entirely different furniture collections, all while reducing the use of additional SKUs.
Utilising content across platforms.
Creative strategy and planning ensured that the most value was gained when shooting to produce content. Creating visuals that resonate with the target audience, and provide value, whilst being able to be repurposed across various forms of content.
Honest, unobtrusive design.
Honest simplicity is at the essence of our system. Each table fraction is made from one sheet of aluminium, laser cut around one contour, bent along two lines, and repeated four times. Add and remove parts how you like. Clash colours. Combine funky shapes. Create functional forms. Providing more but with less.
